I saw this yesterday and knew immediately that I just had to try to get it scanned somehow. =) Please find attached this somewhat Middle-Earthist comic pic that appears in the April issue of the Finnish teenage magazine Suosikki. Here's a brief explanation for the pic: Pikku G ("Little G") is a 16-year-old Finnish rapper who has been insanely popular with kids in the past year or so. The caption of the pic reads 'Pikku G Keskimaassa', or 'Little G in Middle Earth'. In the pic itself, Frodo is introducing Pikku G by saying 'Saanko esitellä, Pikku H Bitti, serkkuni Suomesta', or 'May I present to you, Little H Bit, my cousin from Finland'. And the obviously frustrated rapper says 'Viimeisen kerran! Se on G!', or 'For the last time! It's G!'. In Finnish, reading the name 'Pikku H Bitti' out loud makes it sound almost like 'pikku hobitti', 'little hobbit'. HobbitHugs, PippinSparrow (/MerryPip) |
