This hunting knife was a gift to Aragorn from Galadriel. It is Elven made and seems to be an old weapon. But its exact history is unknown. The inscription on it, Gūd daedheloth, is in the language of Sindarin using the writing system of Tengwar (Mode of Beleriand). The inscription means 'Foe of the Morgoth's Realm'. |
