 Information:

Whilst we originally thought this was Lurtz's face in close-up, consensus in retrospect is that it may just be a random Uruk Hai used in this original slew of Pierre Vinet photographs for the big Sunday Times Magazine FoTR spread.

Then again, the label in the top left of the photo itself clearly says "Lurtz". Cosmetically, though, his countenance and mottling's not at all like the Lurtz we know and love from FoTR. Could it be that this is a prosthetic as used in the birthing sequence in FoTR - possibly a design not actually used in the final cuts? This might explain the 'immature' blotchy mottling and somewhat pained expression? If you know the truth, let us know!.
