 Information:

This wonderful display cabinet, sited next to the huge Cave Troll Maquette, shows two fantastically detailed maquettes of the Cave Troll's head - complete with the 3D "FastSCAN" scanner which WETA acquired from the New Zealand meat-processing industry which would be used to turn the sculpture of the maquettes into three-dimensional points and NURBS (non-uniform rational Bezier splines) suitable for character-animation in Alias|Wavefront Maya and other applications as used by WETA Digital to realise the magic of the Cave Troll.
