 Information:

Artice reads: Tongario National Park is likely to provide landscapes for Hobbits for one of the biggest budget Holywood movies ever.
Film director, Peter Jackson and his production team for the feature film trilogy 'Lord of the Rings' - the story of the adventures of Frodo Baggins, a mythical creature called a Hobbit - visited Tongario National Park last week in preperation for its upcoming filming in the park.
The production team is based at its creative centre in Miramar, Wellington, from where they flew direct to the region with local airline Mountain Air.
The 'Bulletin' understands the production company is negotiating with the Department of Conservation for permission to film in the park, probably on the eastern side near Tukino ski fields, this autumn.
