The February 2004 issue of the trade publication "Film & Video" had two LOTR-related articles. The cover story focused on five of the leading special effects gurus, including LOTR's Jim Rygiel. The cover art even includes a caricature of Jim, lower right. The second article is a very revealing survey of the magazine's readers who all work in the film and video industry. When asked who their pick was for Oscar gold, LOTR:ROTK was the resounding choice in every category "nominated," pummeling the competition by a huge margin each time. |
